The "La Fortezza di Gavi" Bed & Breakfast is located in the historic center of the charming town of Gavi. This historic building stands right beneath the Gavi Fort, which overlooks much of the town center; at night, the fort lights up with colors, creating a unique atmosphere that can be enjoyed from our guest rooms and the garden courtyard. Its central location allows guests to leave their cars behind during their stay, as the B&B is close to shops, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, pedestrian streets, and town squares. Despite its central location, the B&B features a beautiful, private garden courtyard—a perfect spot for relaxing, playing cards, having a bite to eat, or enjoying drinks with friends. Within the courtyard area, there is also a common room equipped with satellite TV, a stovetop, a washing machine (available for stays of at least five days), and everything needed to prepare your own breakfast. The historic building—dating back to the 17th century—required extensive renovation; while the apartments have been completely modernized, care was taken to preserve the unique charm and character of the original architecture. Work began in 2022 and was completed in 2026; this extended timeline reflects our desire to be actively involved in the renovation process and to attend to every detail with the utmost care.

The rooms are designed and furnished in a modern style, though certain details reflect the building's historic character.

All rooms are equipped with the essential amenities for a pleasant stay:

Additionally, the property offers bicycles for guests to use for short trips around town, shopping, or quick errands (please request in advance).

This venture was the brainchild of the owner, Fabio; after living for 25 years in beautiful Milan, he moved here to Gavi—a place where he had spent much of his childhood holidays. Drawing on the experience and passion gained from years of both business and leisure travel, I have adopted a few simple rules:
